PPECB Temporary Cleaner

The Operations Department has a vacancy for a Temporary Cleaner to be appointed on a fixed term contract to assist at the Kakamas Office during the citrus season. This is to ensure the cleanliness of the Office building as well as preparing refreshments for meetings. 

Job Objectives

  • To communicate and cooperate with the rest of the employees.
  • To adhere to health and safety rules and general housekeeping rules
  • To apply time management skills
  • To ensure cleanliness and tidiness in the office environment
  • To assist with preparing and serving refreshments as and when required
  • To use cleaning chemicals and supplies

Job Requirements
  • A Grade 10 certificate or equivalent qualification
  • A Cleaning and Hygiene course will be desirable
  • A minimum of 2 years’ cleaning experience in an office environment
  • General knowledge of hygiene practices
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
  • Knowledge to operate office cleaning equipment
  • Basic knowledge of occupationally health and safety practices and procedures
